  • Smart House Solutions are now the approved installer of Control4 Home automation systems in essex.
  • The Control4 system allows you to control all of the components in your home theatre, multi-room audio system or house using one simple powerful remote control (shown left).
  • This remote has an LCD display that allows selection of albums or tracks from a central music server.
  • The remote (shown below) can also be used with a TV. The on screen menu allows you to browse and select music and control other devices. The cover art and other album information is also shown on the TV.

  • A 3.5 inch colour in-wall touch screen (shown above) provides similar functionality.
  • A 10.5 inch wireless tablet (shown below) is also available.
  • A 3.5 inch in-wall LCD keypad provides a more affordable alternative (cover art is not displayed).
  • As well as making products capable of controlling most brands of equipment, Control4 make multi-room audio products and lighting dimmers. A Control4 system can be made up of distributed or centralised components and there are various ways to build the system.
  • The Control4 system can be expanded over time and Control4 make some wireless (Wi-Fi or Zigbee) products which make retrofitting easier.
  • Standard definition and high definition video can also be distributed.
  • Blinds, curtains, lighting, HVAC, sprinklers and fires can be integrated.
  • Many activities can be automated. It is possible integrate lights and music to create a comfortable wakeup scene to replace your alarm clock. Lights can be dimmed when you start a movie, motion sensors can turn lights on and you can make it look like you are home by automatically turning on the porch lights at sunset
